EL PASO COUNTY, Colorado – El Paso County, CO – FEMA-sponsored COVID-19 test site, which currently provides tests for healthcare workers and first responders, is now expanding to provide tests for people over 65 who have symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath).
As of Sunday, April 5, 2020, the site will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The following people are encouraged to come and get tested: – Health workers – First responders – People over 65 and presenting with symptoms
See below for more details on the tests: – The site is located at 175 S. Union Blvd. in the rear parking lot – Individuals only need to bring a photo ID and insurance information if they have it. – Qualified people will be tested, regardless of insurance status. – The test is free and it is not necessary to have a medical prescription to undergo the test. – This is a site accessible by car and you will not get out of your car – Please do not bring pets or other animals in your vehicle which will not be tested.
