The city of Bad Kötzting has once again called on people to have their own cats neutered and to report free-roaming, stray cats that are known to the animal friends circle or to the town hall.
« The city has a budget available for castration, » emphasizes Karl-Heinz Lummer, the city’s executive officer.
In accordance with the Animal Shelters Funding Guideline (FÖR-TH) and the general budgetary provisions, the Free State of Bavaria grants, among other things, grants for current expenses of animal shelters and to curb the number of homeless pets.
Almost 100 cats (around 50 female and 50 male) have been applied for this year, 50 female cats are being subsidized by the government. The city pays the costs for the hangover.
