A 49-year-old man has been arrested for assaulting a woman in a house on De Ruijterstraat in Den Helder. The suspect allegedly inflicted serious injuries on the woman.
According to the police, it was a sexual assault. On Wednesday evening, part of De Ruijterstraat in the Zeeheldenbuurt was closed and an ambulance was on site to pick up the injured woman. Nothing further is known about her condition.
Part of De Ruijterstraat was also closed for several hours due to the police investigation. An animal ambulance was also present to pick up pets.
