WCVYS is a member of the Warwickshire Children's Trust which aims to ensure that every child and young person, including those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged, has the greatest possible opportunity to be the best they can be. The Children and Young People's Plan outlines the priorities within Warwickshire and how we are working together to improve outcomes for all children and young people.

The WCVYS manager sits on the Senior Leadership Team for the Warwickshire Division for Young People ensuring a strategic relationship is maintained and developed to strengthen the role of the voluntary sector as a significant partner in the delivery of services. 

The Warwickshire County Council Youth and Community Service are the major funders of WCVYS and we are grateful for their continued support.

Our Development Worker manages the Connexions Service funded project work undertaken by Voluntary Sector Organisations in Warwickshire and Coventry, working with young people not in employment, education or training (NEET).

The Integrated Youth Support Service is a new development in Coventry and Warwickshire that WCVYS is actively supporting. The Youth Charter outlines the rights young people expect from services they access.

WCVYS sits on the Warwickshire Youth Arts Network, WYAN, supporting the voluntary sector engagement in the arts and working towards the culture offer.

We are working with the Respect Yourself Campaign to support the delivery of relationship and sexual education training to the voluntary sector. There is a Respect Yourself Handbook for those working with children and young people. In additon the Respect Yourself website is aimed at young people.

In Partnership with British Red Cross we deliver 10 basic First Aid Courses for those working with children and youth people in Warwickshire, from September to June each year.

All partners are encouraged to make sure their services are advertised on the Up2date website, which is a great source of information for children, young people and families and those working with children, young people and families.
