About us

WCVYS - helping you to help children and young people

WCVYS are the umbrella organisation that brings together all the major voluntary children and youth organisations in the county. WCVYS aims to support county and district wide voluntary organisations that empower children and young people and give them somewhere to go, something to do and someone to listen.

We work closely with the Warwickshire Children's Trust and the Division for Young People to build and strengthen the voice of the voluntary children's and youth sector and improve outcomes for children and young people. Working in partnership, we support the delivery of youth work training across Warwickshire; promote integrated working practices; administer grants for training and projects and offer many opportunities for voluntary children's and youth groups to enhance their programme of work with children and young people.

WCVYS facilitates the Warwickshire Children's Trust Voluntary and Community Sector Forum. The Forum meets four times a year and has an extensive membership, with VCS representatives participating in a wide range of strategic partnerships and forums to ensure the voice of the sector across Warwickshire.

We advise, support and train  volunteers, workers and managers in the voluntary sector, campaign on behalf of our members and most importantly represent the voluntary children's and youth sector at many County, Regional and National meetings and events.

WCVYS is based in Stratford-Upon-Avon, covering the whole of Warwickshire.

Links with over 40 organisations, 400 children and youth groups and over 20,000 children and young people and 2,000 children and youth workers.
